NATURE
The wraparound deck is where the house fully opens to the landscape. Soak in the steaming whirlpool tub in near silence, birds overhead, redwoods rising, and the Russian River with rolling hills unfolds across the expansive private meadow.
Rinse off in the outdoor shower, stretch out in the sun, or take the short walk down to the river during the day, return at night to the hot tub for magnificent stargazing (Duncans Mills has low light pollution).

HOME
The living room is the heart of the home —open, comfortable, and oriented to the view, with rocking chairs, a wide-screen TV, and a sleeper sofa set against sweeping river and hillside vistas. Off the main space are two private bedrooms, the master bedroom with direct access to the wraparound deck and the river beyond, and a second bedroom tucked toward the back of the house, facing towering redwoods for a quieter, forested feel.
A large dining table anchors the dining area, the kitchen is fully equipped for everyday cooking, and the layout keeps sleeping spaces slightly removed for privacy.
Outside, enjoy full access to the deck, spa, private dock, meadow, bikes, and kayaks. This is a shoe-free home—bring slippers and settle in.
DOCK
The private dock is a quiet end-point to the property and a front-row seat to the river’s slow rhythm. Step down the narrow walkway and you’re suddenly floating. The water glassy, hills rising cleanly on the far bank, reflections so sharp they feel deliberate.
Adirondack chairs sit right at the edge, made for long pauses, morning coffee, midday sun, or doing absolutely nothing while the light shifts. Kayaks rest alongside, ready for an easy push-off into still water, no rush. It’s simple, unforced, and deeply calming. Time loosens its grip and the river's rhythm quietly takes over.

Historic
Duncans Mills
Nestled along the Russian River just inland from the Sonoma Coast, historic Duncan Mills began in the 1870s as a redwood lumber mill town, shipping lumber to build San Francisco and the North Pacific Coast Railroad. By the 20th century the railroad era faded, but the town survived.
Buildings were restored in the 1970s and house unique boutiques, art galleries, wine tasting, cafés, and eateries that feel like a step back in time. Today you can stroll from charming shops to a wood-fired bakery or classic tavern, soaking in both the laid-back river vibe and a slice of Northern California history.
